| Other
considerations: |
It should be noted that some paths/track we will travel on may
be rough and stony in some areas. You may wish to discuss hoof
hardening/conditioning for your horse with your farrier and/or
vet.
Due to the number of wild deer on the moor there can be a high
number of ticks some years, you may wish to discuss preventative
measures with you vet.
It is more than likely that on at least one ride,
if not more, we will have to pass through river fords. In addition,
after rain, a number of small brooks and tiny streams appear
on the moor.
Due to the nature of the countryside flies are often about during
warm weather. We advise you to bring a quantity of horse fly
repellent.
